Heavy alcohol and other drug use are causing our community too much harm, especially among young people. The ADF has worked for over 50 years to prevent and reduce alcohol and drug harms in our community. Our drug prevention strategies include information, community development, research and advocacy.
How will the funds be used:
To support and further develop our key programs:
Making sure everyone can get accurate information on drug issues when they need it;
Researching and developing quality drug information and education resources for use by families and in schools;
Helping local communities to work together to tackle local problems;
Researching the causes and effects of alcohol and drug use on young people; and
Campaigning for better control on issues such as irresponsible marketing of alcohol.
