The Compassionate Friends Qld supports and cares for families following the death of a child of any age and from any cause.  It is hard to imagine anything more devastating or traumatic than the loss of a child - it is outside the natural order, and challenges our view of how the world is supposed to work.  Our children should outlive us, we never expect to bury them.  Families grieving the death of a child are forced to rethink their identity as well as confront a future without that child.   Compassionate Friends provides support to grieving families from the lived experience of others who themselves have lost a child, sibling or grandchild.
