Children's Promise - Give an Hour. Change the future.

Children's Promise is an initiative which calls on everyone in Australia, individuals and organisations to donate one hour of their income, salary, profits or other earnings in this year to benefit children and young people for the next year and beyond.

Children's Promise has been established as a fundraising vehicle to distribute funds to charities that do not run annual appeals to share in centralised, targeted fundraising efforts and economy of scale. The cost and effort of public appeals are often prohibitive for smaller organisations. Charities will be able to follow a simple application process to receive the proceeds of the funds raised. Given the high cost of undertaking public appeals; it is more efficient to streamline the process across a larger number of benefiting institutions than each organisation undertaking appeals themselves.

The funds will be used by each charity in line with their mission. Eligible charities are those who work to support disadvantaged children and young people with a proven track record of effective management and accountability.
