ABOUT

The AIDS epidemic has had a devastating effect on families globally. In Sub-Saharan Africa alone, there are in excess of 13 million children orphaned by AIDS.

Committee Assist aims to teach and develop sustainable methods, knowledge and skills in local communities to better address this epidemic.

Our focus is working with local communities so they are better able to care for all their children - orphans and abandoned children too.

This means implementing systems through cooperation that suit their social, environmental and economic conditions. Systems that they can afford to introduce and maintain long term. Systems that will improve their productivity, economies and welfare so they can care and provide better futures for their children.

Kili Kids at Rainbow Ridge is located in the small village community of Maili Sita, Tanzania (near Moshi). It is our demonstration site and teaching hub from which we share and network locally.

MISSION

To provide real futures for orphaned and abandoned children and their neighbouring poor in developing countries by:

• growing self-sustaining communities with the implementation of appropriate education, training and methods of practice;
• encouraging community cooperation where all members are active participants contributing to village development and maintenance.

OBJECTIVES

Our Mission will be achieved by:

Providing land, infrastructure and equipment for the sustainable development of this community and its neighbours (photo below);

providing training, education and assistance to the children, their carers and their neighbours to increase productivity and welfare;

Focusing on sustainable use of land, water and energy, improved methods of agriculture, small business, nutrition and health;

enhancing the opportunities for the children through loving care, direction and education.

VALUE PROPOSITION

In order to achieve our mission we rely heavily on volunteers - experienced professionals from varied occupations around the globe.

This ensures that we maintain a strong and passionate administrative body.

It keeps overhead costs to a minimum.

It means donated funds go directly where they are most needed - to the projects on the ground.
