Values for Life (a program of Concern Australia) is an educational program for primary and secondary school students to develop community building values, make wise choices and fulfil their potential. The Values for Life (V4L) program seeks to equip students through evidence based strategies with a greater ability to make constructive life choices that result from developing personal values and respectful relationships.
The seminars provide students:
An excellent education within a range of topical youth topics such as bullying, identity, leadership and more
Development of self-confidence, optimism and a healthy self image
An environment for fostering meaningful inter-personal relationships
A contemporary response to current and emerging social needs fostering meaning, purpose and hope
Respect for learning and positive attitudes for life-long education, and achievement of personal excellence
The stimulus to develop the capacity to exercise sound judgement regarding morality, ethics and social justice
For over 40 years, V4L has delivered educational seminars that provide a space that engender pro-social values, empathy and resilience, speaking to over 20,000 students in over 100 schools each year. We do this through a lively combination of information and interaction, offering topics that are flexible to the needs of the school. V4L is a program of Concern Australia, a Christian social welfare organisation that supports at-risk and vulnerable young people.
