Fauna Rescue Whitsundays Association Inc

Give a One Off Donation Give a Regular Donation
FRQLD was formed on April 15th 2001 and cares for many sick, injured and orphaned wildlife in the Whitsunday Shire, Qld, eventually rehabilitating and releasing the animals back to their original environment. FRQLD is a voluntary, home-based organisation with little overheads and working in a very cost-effective manner. Our members do cover costs of housing, food, first aid supplies and vet bills (although we do receive excellent support from our local vets who work for little or no cost).

Support the Proserpine Rock Wallaby

FRQLD is also committed to support the research, protection and recovery program for the Proserpine Rock Wallaby, an endangered marsupial known to occur only in the Whitsunday Shire. This wallaby is currently under threat from land clearing, predation by dogs and cats, plus toxoplasmosis, a disease spread by cats. One of our most experienced carers has been approved by Qld Parks & Wildlife Service to care for any orphaned and/or injured Proserpine Rock Wallabies.
