Flying Arts is an arts and cultural development organisation which has been supporting and promoting the appreciation and practice of the visual and media arts in regional and remote Queensland for over 42 years.
We inspire artists, students, teachers, young people, adults and community groups to develop their creative abilities and pursue their aspirations in the arts as a lifetime interest or fulfilling career.
Our services include workshops, residencies, exhibitions, projects, events, resources, business and project consulting and a range of online training and information activities.
Our work promotes creativity, imagination, identity, social cohesion, self expression and professional arts practice. With connections with Queenslanders over three generations, Flying Arts has made a lasting contribution to the social and cultural well-being of distant and isolated communities across the State.
Flying Arts is a not for profit Association with core funding provided through Arts Queensland, supported by program revenue, corporate partnerships, donations and philanthropy. We have Donor Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Charity Concession (TCC) status.
How will the funds be used?
Donations to the Art4Life Fund through Give Now are specifically directed to our Young People and Education Program which provides workshops and residencies in primary and high schools and workshops and arts development programs to young people in regional and remote communities.
