Help fight hunger in SA

Australia is not the lucky country for everybody. Every year, 150,000 South Australians require food assistance. Half of them are children.

Foodbank SA's mission is to provide healthy, accessible and affordable food for those who need.

We need your help to fight hunger.

Who we are

Foodbank SA is an Umbrella Charity to over 750 other charities, welfare groups, soup kitchens and schools breakfast programs.

What we do

Foodbank SA is a Social Enterprise, sourcing and distributing healthy food to groups working with the disadvantaged. Our goal is to supply the welfare sector with a reliable, low cost source of healthy food. We save the welfare sector approximately $6 million every year.

We place a high importance on

  • Healthy eating - we supply free Fruit and Vegetables.
  • Hunger awareness - we act as the Voice for those experiencing hunger.
  • The environment - we actively contribute to a better environment through Food Rescue and Recycling.

What can you do

You can help end hunger in South Australia.
  • $45 - Buys a Christmas Hamper for a family that may otherwise go without.
  • $100 - Allows for the distribution of 200 kilos of fresh fruit and vegetables through healthy eating programs.
  • $500 - Allows us to supply at risk schools with enough whole grain cereal to help ensure that 4500 children have the start to the school day that all kids deserve.
