Frankston Community Support and Information Centre is raising funds through their 21st annual Community Appeal to purchase non-perishable food items for volunteers to pack into festive hampers.
The Centre works in conjunction with other Frankston emergency relief agencies to stretch their combined limited resources so more families can be assisted and given fairer allocation of donations. Working together also enables other organisations to concentrate on providing other festive activities to local families in crisis.
Last year, the Centre coordinated the distribution of 414 festive hampers put together with items purchased from cash donations and groceries donated by local people, schools, clubs, businesses and organisations. All monetary donations $2.00 and over are tax deductible with receipts issued.
