Operation BobbiBear does not receive funding from the Government and requires support from the wider community to continue to rescue and uphold the rights of sexually abused children, minimise their risk of HIV infection, and help them towards living life powerfully with full self-expression.

How will the funds be used?

The funds will be used to provide financial support to Operation BobbiBear's current projects.

Key area of expenditure for funds?

Operation BobbiBear Training and Rescue Centre (Lower Iilovo)

Call In and Information Centre for child victims of sexual abuse.

Child Safety Officer and Mentorship Programme

Using therapeutic methods to obtain forensic evidence, the Child Safety officer collaborates with the criminal justice system to ensure the rights of child victims of sexual abuse. The Child Safety Officer is trained in Pre and Post Test HIV/AIDS counselling to assess the risk of a child at point-of-rescue, and will assist and be accountable to the child throughout the legal process.

HIV/AIDS Toy Awareness and Prevention Programme for Children

Preventative Programme for pre-school children an older, who are taught universal precautions, identification of body fluids and "if wet and from body, do not touch it."

Tree Clinic (Lower Iilovo)

A meeting place to assist vulnerable and orphaned children, to empower mother and child and to grow awareness of HIV/AIDS, Wellness Management and Positive Living in community.
