Children and young people can come into care for a few days, a few months, or long term. Wherever possible, we aim to restore babies and children to the care of their families, however some children remain in care until they reach independence.
Many of these babies , children and young people have come from difficult circumstances, especially leading up to being placed in foster care, They may have experienced multiple separations from their natural family, abuse, ongoing emotional crises and instability. They may display a range of behaviours and have different responses to the foster care experience.
The Family Placement Scheme needs foster carers and families who can offer a home to a child or young person where they will feel loved, accepted and safe.
We will use the money you donate, either once-off or as a regular donation to continually improve the Galilee Foster Placement Scheme, by providing ongoing support to our carers and disadvantaged babies, children and young people.
