Buying a Christmas Tree rom a community group is a great way to support your favourite cause and get into the Christmas spirit!

Below is a list of groups who are selling trees to help raise funds to support their work in the community.

Organisation: 1^stEmerald Scout Group

Organisation: The Oakleigh Centre
State: Victoria
Details: Since the early 1960s, the Oakleigh Centre has been selling Christmas trees to raise funds. A parent, Frank Burton, who sold trees from his backyard, initiated the event. Fresh quality trees and stands are available at reasonable prices throughout December. The Festival is staffed totally by volunteers and all profits go to the Centre’s programs. Customers and volunteers are always in demand.

Details: The Tamar Apex Club organises community based events such as the Launceston Christmas Parade, door knocking for the Royal Guide Dogs and selling Christmas Trees to fundraise for the ABC Giving Tree.
