Communication matters

Communication is a core part of our society, helping us connect to others, build relationships, enjoy experiences, everyday.

Entertainment, work, education, transportation and  events are important parts of the lives of people of all ages. Many venues, places and events are often not communication accessible. This lack of access to information means that some people are unable to participate equally in these reoccuring situations unless specific provisions are made.

Why help is needed

There is a gap in accessing meaningful, accurate and fit-for-purpose captions for live events and annoucements. This affects everyday lives and experiences.

By accompanying auditory communications with accurate captions, more people can engage and enjoy the experience.

The benefits are for everybody. 

How you can help

Hear With Us is run solely by volunteers who receive no renumeration or expenses for their work. More than funding, we warmly welcome anyone who can volunteer their time, expertise and effort towards advancing this cause.

How Hear With Us helps

Hear With Us is a registered not-for-profit, charitable organisation based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We work with our members, sponsors, patrons and other community organisations in our advocacy efforts. We are independent of government funding.
