We are currently constructing an exciting new addition to our facility. This new wing—now officially named the Suzanne Beattie Wing in honour of our long-serving Board Chair— will provide 16 new beds, along with a welcoming lounge, library, and a private space for families to spend meaningful time together. It will also include a new, significantly larger laundry and staff room to better support the care we provide every day.
By the end of this year, this expansion will transform Hillview into a 72-bed aged care facility in the heart of Bunyip—ensuring more local people can remain close to family, friends, and the community they know and love.
This vital extension is a $5 million project, with half of the funding generously provided through a Federal Government grant. To help complete the project, we are relying on the continued support of our community.
Hillview is a 100% community-owned, not-for-profit, standalone aged care facility, proudly serving the region for over 33 years. Today, we employ 145 staff, with this number expected to grow to almost 180 as we reach full capacity—supporting local jobs as well as local care. We are also proud to be home to both the Bunyip Men’s and Women’s Sheds, strengthening connection across generations.
