Jewish Care provides aged care accommodation and community service programs for people of all ages in the Jewish community of Victoria. Our mission is: "supporting and enhancing the wellbeing of the Jewish community of Victoria".

Community donations are vital to Jewish Care and enable us to continue helping people who are in need of care, support and assistance.

How will the funds be used?


In Aged Care, Jewish Care runs low and high care nursing homes for 400 frail and elderly people. We also provide care into 100s of peoples' homes and run a range of proactive Healthy Ageing Programs.

Our Community Services provides a range of services and programs for people of all ages. These include: home care services, family and individual counselling, disabilities services (including: adult housing, outreach, respite house, schools integration, youth camps), financial aid, holocaust services, mental health support, migrant support, youth services.

Many of these services receive insufficient or no government support and therefore we rely on the community to help ensure we can meet the needs.

Donations are used to help run our aged care facilities and community service programs, including providing financial aid and support for families in crisis.

Key Areas of Expenditure

Aged Care new liftcare beds, extra rehabilitation and activities programs, maintenance and upgrading of facilities.
Community Services components of disability services, mental wellbeing support programs, counselling and home care holocaust services, youth services and mentoring services. Donations are the sole funding source for financial aid for families and individuals in crisis, and also help families pay for school books and school camps.
