All schools in Australia are able to receive tax deductible donations by way of a School Building Fund. These funds can be used to construct and maintain buildings. Our P&C has taken the opportunity offered by the government to manage, promote and administer the fund on behalf of our school.
Our fund is called The Junction Public School Parents and Citizen Association School Assembly Hall Upgrade and Refurbishment of Multi-purpose Facility Fund.
The Fund was set up by TJPC P&C and was endorsed by our Principal who recognises it as having important fundraising potential.
While the government provides a budget, the funds only cover the running costs of the school, not the replacement and/or refurbishment of facilciilites. The school relies heavily on funding provided by the P&C to raise funds for facilities and resources that would otherwise not be provided.
