Through public awareness, education and action KBULG involves the entire Kalgoorlie-Boulder community, including residents, businesses, industry, schools, community groups, and visitors providing meaningful worthwhile community projects that rehabilitate and enhance the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's environment whilst fostering community spirit and providing environmental education.
KBULG runs many environmental projects throughout the year, with a key focus on our Junior Landcare Education Program. Currently we have over 100 classes registered, from all Primary Schools in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Many of our projects are annual events, and have been running for many years. These include our Annual Community Tree Planting day, Waterwise Garden Competition, "Bag A Biter" Annual Weed Competition, our Rethink! Reduce - reuse - recycle week, and our bi-monthly native plant group and many more projects, activities and programs throughout the year.
KBULG provides leadership as the region's leading Environmental Organisation offering a diverse and innovative range of projects, programs and activities. Being long running and visible, the community know who we are and look to KBULG as the first point of call for environmental advice or information in the Goldfields. We lead the community by educating and involving them in the many programs and events we organise. Several of our programs and events have been adopted by other towns.
Through our many projects and activities KBULG aims to lead the public towards creating a Better Environment and Better Lifestyle for our entire community, whilst helping to develop practical skills, raise awareness and provide educate. These activities are unique to our group in the region, and we continue to come up with new ideas, programs and activities, we continually grow and evolve.
