We run a Patient Accommodation program in major cities across Australia, providing 11 houses or apartments. This provides cancer patients and their families with quality, dignified, convenient and fully self-contained accommodation for the duration of their treatment. The program is particularly designed for patients from rural areas who must travel long distances to receive treatment and are particularly financially disadvantaged. The cost to provide this service works out at around $30,000 for each residence and to fund this we rely on donation from generous members of the public, willing to help families during the terrible ordeal of dealing with cancer.
How will the funds be used?
The funds will help us cover the costs of providing a range of houses and apartments across Australia, which provide quiet, dignified and quality self-contained residences for the exclusive use of a patient and their families or friends.
