We want to do something good for our town - can you help us? Our 'village square' at the Mill is looking tired and unloved. We would like to revitalise it with a stone sculpture commissioned through the inaugral Adelaide Hills Sculpture Symposium (AHISS).
To do so, we need to raise $30,000 - a relatively small amount for public art of this quality but alot of money for a small town to raise from chook raffles.

8 internationally recognised sculptors will create works in stone which will be permanently installed in townships across the hills. The sculptors brief will be to respond to the natural and built environment of the installation sites.

The first Adelaide Hills Sculpture Symposium will be held 10th - 29th April 2012 at the Cedars, the estate of Hans Heysen at Harndorf.8 internationally recognised sculptors will create works in stone which will be permanently installed in townships across the hills. The sculptors brief will be to respond to the natural and built environment of the installation sites.
