Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells - neurones - controlling the muscles that enable us to move, speak, breath and swallow undergo degeneration and die. MND is an uncompromising disease, indiscriminate and brutal. The cause is unknown and there is no cure.
As the symptoms of MND increase, the level of care needed to remain at home also increase. Families need to adapt to the constantly changing levels of disabilities. They need physical and emotional support. They need community acceptance
The Motor Neurone Disease Association of Queensland Inc. rely heavily on small grants and community support to enable us to continue providing the following services.
Donations will be used for the purchase of equipment aid and production of updated information to support and enhance the lives of families living with MND
