Musica Viva Australia

Give a One Off Donation Give a Regular Donation
The most valuable gift you can give a child is the opportunity to reach their true potential. When it comes to the benefits of music education in achieving this goal, the evidence is overwhelming: active participation in music from an early age improves students' learning and social outcomes.

Yet for four out of five Australian children attending government primary schools, music education is simply not an option. Musica Viva bridges the gap by providing quality music education programs and specialised teacher training to schools all over Australia.

Musica Viva In Schools reaches more than 300,000 primary and secondary students annually, in every state and territory of Australia, including some of the most remote areas of the country.

What sets Musica Viva In Schools apart is its unique blend of practical Teaching Resources, specialised teacher training and live music concerts by professional ensembles, all based on a chosen genre of music and linked to creative arts and other state syllabuses.

How will the funds be used?

Your donation will help to subsidise the cost of our professional development courses, resource kits and live ensemble touring costs so that together, we can provide more Australian children with the music education they so richly deserve.

Key Areas of Expenditure

  • Subsidies for small/remote/disadvantaged schools so that teachers can attend our professional development courses and learn to provide a sustained and comprehensive music program for their students.
  • Subsidies for children from economically disadvantaged communities to attend our live music performances
