Critics have questioned the appropriateness of multi-millionaire Bono fronting Lace Up, Save Lives - a campaign against world poverty.
In 2006, U2 avoided $30 million in taxes by moving their business out of Ireland. Ireland has since cut its overseas aid budget.
In response to the criticism, Bono told London's Daily Mail , ‘I've been over-rewarded for what I do, and I'm trying to give my time and my resources, but... I'm a rich rock star, so shoot me.’
So, Bono has single-handedly reduced Irelands ability to maintain its foreign aid! No other factors involved here?.... What a powerful man!
Give me a break! Ethical journalism? Mmmmm I doubt it.

i agree this is almost like propaganda... you only show what you want the public to see; not the full story.. that's corrupt
Who are we to judge how much he should give? That fact that he gives is fantastic. It is the judgement and accusation that robs our society of peace...
I think that you should have the full story of your accusation available freely without the need for anyone to have to sign up to read it all. Fair's fair!
