Celebs Done Good

CHRISTINA AGUILERA

Christina Aguilera has helped raise $50,000 for the United Nations World Food Programme by personalising and autographing a one-of-a-kind 2010 Chrysler car. The eco-style car, which uses recycled materials and has an environmentally friendly bamboo wood interior, was auctioned off by Stars for a Cause to support relief efforts in Haiti.

LANCE “BUDDY” FRANKLIN

AFL Footballer Buddy Franklin recently launched his fashion label Nena and Pasadena. Two Indigenous students have designed t-shirts for the new range and profits from the shirts will be going to the Lance Franklin Foundation to fund scholarships for young indigenous players.

DICK VAN DYKE

Former Mary Poppins chimney sweep Dick Van Dyke is promoting Tiger Conservation for the World Wildlife Fund. 2010 is the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese Zodiac, and WWF is using it to tell the world that there are as few as 3,200 tigers left in the world.
