Fundraising Barbie

The Farrah Fawcett Foundation have signed a deal with Mattel to produce a limited edition Farrah Fawcett barbie doll in order to raise funds for the cancer research organisation.

The Charlie's Angels star set up the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, in 2006 after she was diagnosed with anal cancer.

Farrah lost her battle with cancer in 2009 at 62 years of age but left a legacy in the form of the foundation, which provides funding for unconventional cancer treatments, trials and prevention.

The foundation would not disclose the royalty it would receive from each Farrah Barbie sold.

The doll is priced at $US34 ($31.00).
