NSW Rape Crisis Centre seeks your assistance in developing an online course for Dad's who are wanting to raise ethical sons.
Research tells us that the most important influence in a young man's life is that of his Dad. Dads who talk to their sons about ethical behaviour toward women, and reflect that behaviour in their relationships with women, are very likely to grow ethical sons.
Dads have asked us 'How do I do this'.
The online interactive group for Dads will assist and mentor those ethical Dads to develop their skills so they can have those discussions with their sons with confidence.
How will the fund be used?
Costs include research and program development, paying the group leaders (social workers/psychologists), promotion and coordination of the group, and group evaluation.
Why your donation is important
While it is important to have high quality services to assist those who have experienced sexual assault and an effective criminal justice system to ensure redress for the crime all this comes too late as the crime, and its damage, has already been done.
Preventing the crime is paramount.
