On a Wing and a Chair General Appeal

On a Wing & a Chair Ltd is about raising the public's expectation of what people with disabilities can achieve, and provide inspiration for people with or without disabilities to achieve their own challenging goals.

This will be achieved by supporting Dave Jacka to become the first person with quadriplegia to fly solo around the coastline of Australia.

During this epic flight, the public will be able to follow the progress via the On a Wing & a Chair Web site and Dave will provide presentations to schools, comunity groups and the media of what people with disabilities can achieve and provide inspiration to others to have a go at their own challenges in life.

In addition On a Wing & a Chair is endeavouring to produce a documentary showing the challenges and experiences during the inspirational flight.

How will the funds be used?

The team at On a Wing & a Chair are all volunteers donating their time and experience to the organiseation.

A small portion of the funds will be used in the administration of the orgainiseation with the majority of the funding supporting the On a Wing & a Chair Round Australia Flight.

Key areas of expenditure

The Key area's of expenditure in the administration of On a Wing & a Chair Ltd will include specialist services such as legal and accontancy services. Most other services are provided by volunteers.

The majority of funding will be used to support the Round Australia Flight. Some of the key areas of expenditure includes hire of a support aircraft with volunteer support crew to follow Dave and provide assistance on the ground, fuel and equipment.
