OzHarvest Canberra

OzHarvest Canberra rescues excess food from retailers, restaurants, event caterers, manufacturers, institutions and corporate offices. We deliver the food free of charge to shelters, refuges and charities that support men, women and children who are in need in our community.

We collect food from over 100 donors and deliver to more than 60 charities in Canberra, Queanbeyan and Yass. Every month we save over 10 tonnes of perfectly good food from being dumped as landfill. Every kilogram of food that OzHarvest rescues reduces greenhouse emissions and water consumption.

As OzHarvest Canberra receives no government funding, we depend on the continued generosity of sponsors and donors.

Your contribution directly allows charities to redirect funds originally budgeted for food to other programs which assist those who are disadvantaged in our community.
