To provide short term foster care for dogs, so that women and children experiencing domestic violence can leave and be accommodated in any of the 14 women's refuges in Perth - knowing their beloved dog is also safe.
Research indicates when domestic violence is occurring in a home animals are also being hurt.
How will the funds be used?
To cover a part-time workers wage to increase and support the volunteer foster carers, transport of dogs, vet care, and pet food.
