Penumbra Centre Inc.
Penumbra is an Adult Day Centre offering services to a diverse cross section of our community including the aged, people with sensory impairment, intellectual disability, brain injury and mental health disorders.
We provide a fun and stimulating day for our members in a safe and caring environment. Activities include art and craft, painting, mosaic, knitting, quizzes and word games, and community outings. We have just recently started a gardening/woodwork program for the guys called the Shed Program.
Penumbra Centre is a small facility that encourages social inclusion through group and individual art and craft projects. We encourage members to be creative and learn new skills with a focus on living well.
Our centre is always in need of art and craft materials as our target group is generally on a pension and live below the poverty line. We would like to showcase our members art work We operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school terms.
Funds raised will allocated to art and craft materials for Penumbra Centre members.
