The RBWH Foundation's key purpose is to raise money to fund world-class clinical research conducted at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, in order to provide better treatment methods and improve patient outcomes.The Foundation provides ongoing support to five key research centres at the Hospital, along with support for new and emerging studies.Our secondary purpose is to engage and educate the community about the research and its importance to the current and future health of all Queenslanders.
How will the funds be used?
The Foundation now funds a range of research that ultimately benefits more than one million men, women and babies each year. The RBWH is particularly recognised as research leaders in the fields of premature babies, burns, motor neurone disease, inflammatory bowel disease, lung cancer and ageing in women.The Foundation believes that research is the key to improving patient care, medical treatment and survival rates for Queenslanders and patients throughout the world.
