Many early childhood services across Victoria have been affected by the recent bushfire. Some kindergartens and child care centres have burnt to the ground while others have been severely damaged and are unable to operate.
Kindergarten Parents Victoria, ourcommunity.com.au and the Municipal Association of Victoria are co-ordinating an appeal to help these centres rebuild and provide vital resources so that they can continue to provide services for their children and local communities.
This kindergarten year is vital in providing the best outcomes for children. Kindergarten provides activities based on play with opportunities to develop intellectual, emotional, physical emotional, language and social skills - all at a time when children are actively developing and learning.
