Help children build confidence through reading this tax time.
Story Dogs supports primary school children needing assistance with literacy by creating a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where reading becomes fun.
Each week, trained volunteer handlers and their accredited Story Dogs work one-on-one with children in schools, helping them build confidence, improve literacy skills and develop a more positive relationship with reading.
Today, Story Dogs supports more than 2,935 children each week across 420 schools throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the ACT.
The impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Teachers report improved confidence and literacy skills, while parents see children becoming more engaged with school and talking positively about reading at home. For many children, reading with a Story Dog is the moment they begin to believe in themselves.
With your support, we can continue providing books, literacy resources, volunteer support and one-on-one reading sessions that help children thrive.
Please make your tax-deductible donation before 30 June and help more children discover the joy, confidence and connection that comes from reading with a Story Dog. Woof!
