Fight Cancer Foundation provides care, treatment and support for cancer patients and their families and funds research into finding a cure and improved treatment methods.
Fight Cancer Foundation was established in 1989 as the Bone Marrow Donor Institute with the mission of giving hope and saving lives of cancer patients. The organisation provides services for cancer patients and their families, supports research programs and was instrumental in establishing and supports the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, the Bone Marrow Research Laboratories, the BMDI Cord Blood Bank, three accommodation centres, operates two recycle shops and has a 22 year history of developing and delivering innovative programs to assist cancer patients and their families.
Through its expertise in supporting cancer patients Fight Cancer Foundation developed the Back on Track program to enable young students living with cancer to continue their education during long absences through treatment and recovery.
