Support Homeless Young People in Perth
Youth Futures WA Other Causes...
Youth Futures WA provides financial and accomodation support to disadvantaged and at-risk young people in Perth metropolitan Area. Due to funding we can only offer limited support, it takes more than a bed to get someone back on their feet. We are collecting funds to enable us to enhance our services to those young homeless people in our care. We have both short-term and long-term supported accomodation services that are accessed by over 150 young people every year. However we are only able to accommodate 20% of referrals we receive due to a lack of funding, leaving an unmet demand of over 600 young people each year.
How will the funds be used?
The funds will be used to purchas household goods and recreational equipment for the young people in our support accommodation. We all also aim to provide longer term care for young people once they leave our services, such as employment, education, counselling and family reunification.
