Tantrum Youth Arts exists to amplify the voices of young people through creativity. Our programs make young people feel confident, connected, creative, and HEARD.

We are committed to providing accessible creative opportunities for all young people in the Hunter, and we do this through:

• Tantrum OPEN: Tantrum is for every young person but especially those who feel like they don’t belong or that their voices aren’t being heard. Our OPEN scholarships support young people who are experiencing social isolation or financial hardship, or barriers due to mental health or disability. Your donation of $1000 can transform the life of a disadvantaged young person, giving them access to Tantrum's creative workshops for a whole year at no cost, helping them build stronger social connections, increased self-confidence and growing their skills in creative expression.
  
  
• Accelerate Ensemble: Our performance ensemble for young adults with disability who want to explore their own arts practice and work together to push the boundaries of what theatre can do. Through weekly workshops, the Accelerate Ensemble develop skills in all aspects of collaborative theatre making, leading to the creation of original performance works driven by their own ideas and interests. 
  
  
• Tantrum Outposts: Our new initiative to establish ongoing creative workshop programs for young people in regional areas led by regional artists. Tantrum Outposts brings creative opportunities and social connections to regional youth who face geographical barriers to participating in the arts.
