
UnitingCare Adelaide East is in the preliminary stages of expanding our community programs sector to include courses and programs such as; Parenting Courses, Relationship Courses Computer Courses for Beginners, 'Coffee and Chat Sessions' and increased Money Management courses for specific groups of disadvantaged individuals (including migrants, seniors, young parents / parents with young children and so forth).
Our community programs seek to increase and strengthen the life skills of our clients and empower them to take control of their own lives. In addition, these programs offer community activities for socially isolated individuals.
As always, UnitingCare Adelaide East will be available to assist vulnerable individuals with Emergency Relief and Crisis Response services to help them over their current hurdle with the idea of being able to assist them in different ways long term.
At UnitingCare Adelaide East we aspire to move beyond only offering 'bandaid' or immediate solutions for our clients; aiming in addition, to build an organisation which is recognised for strengthening the self esteem of individuals and creating lasting change. We understand that by showing respect to our clients, providing encouragement to utilise their new and existing skills and offering activities which break the cycle of isolation; that individuals will be able to create rewarding lives for themselves.

Funds can be used in 3 ways:
Emergency Relief:
Your donation directed towards Emergency Relief Services will go towards the purchase of a variety of food and Woolworth vouchers, providing immediate client assistance. Emergency Relief is a well established service area of UnitingCare Adelaide East, and as our client numbers continue to rise during these difficult economic times, your donation will assist us continue providing emergency food assistance to individuals in crisis.
Financial Literacy: Your donation to Financial Literacy will help us expand our Financial Literacy Program and allow us to reach more disadvantaged individuals within our communities. Your contribution will fund our Money Management courses allowing us to offer these highly effective courses free of charge to individuals on Low Incomes or Centrelink Benefits.
Community Programs: Funds directed into Community Programs will help fund the administrative and promotional costs of implementing and growing these programs. Your donation will fund aspects such as; program materials, community advertising, and child care for our clients.
