WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue & Education Service Inc) is the largest wildlife rescue charity in Australia. We have a network of volunteers who rescue, rehabilitate and release sick, injured or orphaned native wildlife.
WIRES rescues over 50,000 native animals every year and Spring is when WIRES carers are inundated with orphaned young chicks, joeys, pups and puggles. The care involved in raising these juvenile creatures is expensive and time consuming. Our rescue call centre is under enormous pressure with thousands of calls coming in over these months.
It is at this time we need your help to fund the increase in resources required to take calls and care for orphaned, displaced or injured juveniles. Take some time to share some of our volunteers rescue stories at www.wires.org.au and gain an insight to the life of a WIRES carer. If you can help us to help wildlife please give generously to our Spring Appeal.
