Bsafe is a cost effective personal alarm system for women and children who have obtained an Intervention Order and are at risk of that order being breached. The overwhelming majority of Bsafe recipients have been able to remain in their own home and community. Women are consistently identifying Bsafe as a tool that supports their right to self determination. The full report on our Bsafe program can be accessed via our
website
Bsafe is currently being operated in the Hume region of Victoria though private donations and through federal government transitional funding of $55,000. The Bsafe mobile units cost $800 for the first year and $600 for subsequent years. The Bsafe home telephone alarm costs $500 for the first year and $350 for subsequent years. Most women choose the mobile unit only.
If the project receives ongoing funding, donations will be used to support the other vital projects of Women's Health Goulburn North East. For information regarding our other work please visit our website.
