2019 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Abbey Medieval Festival, the premier living history event in the southern hemisphere.
Focussing on an accurate depiction of life in the medieval period re-enactors, jousters, exhibitors, musicians, street performers, and stall holders representing different time periods and regions provide interactive displays of traditional skills and crafts from the medieval period.
The proceeds from the festival fund the continual expansion, conservation of the world class collection and extensive educational programs run by the Abbey Museum.
