Staying Focused is Hard - Help Us Change It

For many of the people who walk through ADHD WA doors, it is the first time they have felt heard. As they share their story with one of our team, the challenges of living with ADHD, or loving someone with ADHD, are acknowledged and understood - often for the first time.

There are many children and adults with ADHD and related conditions unaware of services accessible to them. Many parents, teachers, doctors, health professionals are also struggling to find more information in order to support people with ADHD in their surroundings.

Currently, ADHD WA suggests 2 monthly support groups - coffee mornings for parents and adult support group. However, it is not nearly enough. The support groups take place in the Perth Metropolitan area, therefore it is hard to access for people living in regional areas and receiving little or no support at all.

ADHD WA is aiming to raise $50,000.00 so that within the following financial year, we could double the existing and introduce new support groups. We are after:

  • Offering more flexible times and days of the week;
  • Providing alternatives to attending support groups - creating a real-time  online support group;
  • Rolling out the support groups for children and teen.

Your support would enable us to fulfil this goal and provide resources to children, teens and adults living with ADHD, their parents and carers, as well as those who treat, teach and work with them.

There really has never been a better time to get involved.
