Redress Fund for Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

The Anglican Church in Tasmania is fully committed to providing restorative justice, recognition and support to survivors of sexual abuse.

On 2 June 2018, the Synod (annual meeting of all parish representatives) voted in favour of the establishment of a Redress Fund. This fund will be used to cover claims made against the Anglican Church of Tasmania.

The Anglican Church in Tasmania has an estimated liability of around $8 million in new and additional payments to survivors of child sexual abuse.

A number of people within the Anglican community have asked to make voluntary contributions into the Redress Fund. This page has been established to facilitate this.
