The Arid Lands Environment Centre (ALEC) is a community-based environment organisation located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. For more than 30 years, ALEC has advocated for the arid lands, plants, animals and people of Central Australia.
Working on a number of different areas including:
building community resilience to climate change and peak oil
advocating for sustainable resource-use and groundwater protection
working towards integrated approaches to land management and biodiversity conservation and;
working towards a nuclear-free and frack-free NT.
