ASRC General Appeal

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) Other Causes...

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) has listed 4 other causes:

"When I came to Australia I don't know much about life here. For three and a half years I'm living just like a bear in my car… It was like staying, living in the dark. Anything could happen, I felt unsafe." - Shaibu, refugee

There are 28,000 people in Australia who are at risk of homelessness, hunger and being sent back to harm due to an unfair refugee determination process.

Because the Government will not provide adequate support to people seeking asylum, the ASRC has seen a 500% increase in demand for services like food, shelter and legal assistance.

In a country as prosperous as Australia, this shouldn't happen.

As an independent organisation we do not receive federal government funding. We are run and owned by you. Your donation can help people at risk in important ways:

$80 = 50 hot meals for people seeking asylum

$100 = housing for one person for a week

$200 = emergency legal assistance for 10 people lodging their claims

$1000 = full legal representation for one person

These funds will help ensure refugees like Shaibu can get a protection visa, and stay safe in his new home: Australia.

Your generosity and support will directly enable more people to receive the right to safety and have the opportunity to rebuild a new life.

When you give before June 30 this year, you'll be able to claim the tax benefit.

Your donation goes directly to providing services to support asylum seekers: legal appointments, housing, health care, employment services, English language classes, food and advocacy.

Are donations tax deductible? Yes

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes, immediately sent to you by email when approved.
