Australia 21 is an exciting and unique way to make a difference to Australia’s future – our future and the future of our children and grandchildren. We are an independent think tank for the public good. Our goal is to bring together the nation's best thinkers, researchers and policy makers in exceptional networks to convert good science into effective policy.
How will the funds be used?
There are many challenges ahead such as climate change, the way we support our young people, how we support asylum seekers and refugees, inequality, our deteriorating landscape and threatened species, and how we’ll manage unpredictable threats in the future. Donations will be used to promote fresh thinking about these challenges.

Key areas of expenditure
We will arrange meetings of scientists, outstanding thinkers and policy
makers – people who may not otherwise meet.
We will broker fresh, multi-disciplinary thinking and research in order to find new approaches to challenges.
We will encourage young people to become involved in our work and will support our youth wing, Young Australia21, to lead its own research projects.
We will collaborate with experts, policy makers and the public to produce reports, essays, videos and other media, and run public forums, to make our findings accessible to a broad audience.
We will publish and distribute our findings widely and freely.
