BabyTreeProjects Cambodian Appeal

BabyTreeProjects is a grassroots organisation aiming to empower children living in poverty in Cambodia. We do this by building schools in rural villages and then helping to maintain and run the schools after completion. Our first school was built in July 2006 in SiemReap province Cambodia. We currently run a breakfast program, teeth brushing program, library program, and pay the teachers' salary. We hope to soon offer teacher training and offer scholarships. There are many more projects almost ready to be announced including micro-financing the villagers' business ideas.

How will the funds be used?

Currently BabyTreeProjects is embarking on its second school building project in Peam Village Cambodia, this will be built in December 2007. In order to build the school and to keep it operating for two years we need to raise $30,000. All funds raised will be used to build and service the school. BabyTreeProjects has no paid staff, other than the teachers and building contractors in Cambodia. Many Australian volunteers will use their personal savings to help with the Peam Village School project, and to finance other projects that will be beneficial to children in the area.
