Burpees To Beat Childhood Brain Cancer

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it: 36 burpees per day for 30 days to help find 1 home run cure.

Did you know, on average more than 100 children are diagnosed with brain cancer each year in Australia, of which 36 children will die.

The Cure Starts Now exists to fund medical research into childhood brain cancer and focus in particular on Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) for which there is currently no treatment or cure.

In honour of National Childhood Brain Cancer Day on Sunday 26 September, The Cure Starts Now has partnered with MaxFit Health & Fitness for the inaugural Burpees To Beat Childhood Brain Cancer Challenge to raise vital funds and awareness to defeat this deadly disease.

We need your help to change the stats!

Kicking off on Wednesday 1 September, we challenge you to complete 36 burpees a day for 30 days and raise money to fund specific DIPG research that will move us a step closer to finding a cure.

We’re setting our fundraising goal at $50,000.

Regardless of your fitness level, age, or COVID restrictions we want you to fight for our little heroes who will never stop fighting for their lives.

If you can’t complete a traditional burpee - don’t panic! Variations are acceptable to suit your personal fitness levels and injuries. Options will be provided by MaxFit Health & Fitness to make sure you can still participate.

Register now to participate and create your own unique CrowdRaiser page (right column).

It kicks off on Wednesday 1 September, but you can start at any time! Follow @TheCureStartsNowAus for daily updates, motivation and tips.
