The Children's Cancer Foundation was established in 1992 by parents of children with cancer. Their aim was to ensure their children, and those in the future, would have access to the world's best possible care to save their lives.
Brilliant minds are working hard to find a cure for cancer. The Children's Cancer Foundation has committed $6.2 m over 10 years to attract the world's best childhood cancer clinical researchers and build a significant program of clinical research. We have also committed to resourcing of clinical trials so that children have access to new treatments and new drugs.
We fund therapeutic clinical care to help children not only cope with the pain, but also to promote a normal environment of creativity and expression and give children a reason to smile. To support families, we fund Family Resource Coordinators, a non-medical friend parents can turn to help navigate the world of treatment and to help with the family's day to day needs in hospital.
With the unwavering support of generous individuals and organisations, the Children's Cancer Foundation continues to operate as a leader in the childhood cancer charity sector in Australia.
