Who We Are 
In Australia, there are over 3,500 children and adults living with cystic fibrosis, which is a genetic condition that causes serious damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs. Because of this, the cystic fibrosis community is a particularly vulnerable group during this very challenging and unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.

Cystic Fibrosis Community Care delivers a range of programs and services to individuals and families living with cystic fibrosis throughout NSW and Victoria. This represents more than half the number of people with cystic fibrosis in Australia. We provide advocacy, information, education and awareness, community and hospital support, referrals, peer and social support, community events and financial support.

Why Give Now? 
Think for a moment about how life has changed for all of us in such a short time. We are all living with a heightened level of anxiety about the possibility that we might catch COVID-19 and potentially be very ill or even die. We are doing our best to socially isolate and putting extra infection-control precautions like frequent effective handwashing in place. Imagine living your whole life like this.

This is what everyday life is like for people living with cystic fibrosis and their loved ones. The fear and concern being experienced now by the majority of the global population is a daily occurrence when you have cystic fibrosis. 

Cystic Fibrosis Community Care offers physical, emotional, social and financial support to children and adults with cystic fibrosis and their families.

As a direct result of the social distancing measures that have been put in place to protect the community, all our planned fundraising events in Victoria and NSW have been cancelled, postponed or put on hold for the foreseeable future.

Without the generosity of the people who attend these events and their supporters, we will struggle to provide the level of services and assistance that our membership requires, especially at the moment.

We know this is a challenging time for a lot of people. With supports calls increasing from our community by 50% during this pandemic, we need your support now more than ever to be able to continue providing the essential programs and services we deliver within our community.
