Tour de OROC supporting Macquarie Home Stay 2024

Cycling for me is the way I stay balanced. It provides the perfect ying to the yang of life as a finance executive.  I have been riding my bike for 20+ years, and I am still amazed at the places my bike takes me. Be it the local streets before dawn, the NSW and VIC alpine regions, far north QLD, the heat of Adelaide and the wild great ocean road, every ride provides a new experience and that experience is enriched when its shared with my partner, friends or even someone you meet out on the road. Cycling challenges are always great adventure, being it riding from Canberra to Cooma in the night, climbing Mt Baw Baw or exploring gravel roads & finding a local pub to rest for the night.

The Tour de OROC is an amazing challenge and will no doubt be an adventure to remember. The remoteness of Western NSW will provide the backdrop, but there is more to the Tour de OROC than a 7 day cycling adventure covering nearly 800km. The Tour will be raising money for the Maquarie Home Stay. The Home Stay makes a traumatic hospital experience just a little bit less stressful, by taking away the worry of finding someplace to stay.  They provide a fantastic service to residents living in the areas through which we will ride, providing short-term accommodation for patients and their families who need to use the Dubbo Base Hospital. Expectant mothers, people who require accommodation immediately prior to or post admission to the hospital and parents, partners, carers or children undergoing various treatments all get to stay at the facility, which aims to provide a home away from home. The demand for this service is rapidly growing in line with the expansion of the Dubbo Base Hospital, further funding is required to improve and expand the number of available rooms.

Help me to help the people of the Orana region by supporting my ride, making even the smallest donation will make a difference.

Also, I would be very grateful for you to share the link to this CrowdRaiser page to your friends and family. The more people who can help the better!

A big thank you
