If you told me that I'd find my dream job sorting through trash, I would have laughed, but here we are. For the past few months, I've been working at a truly magical place in one of the most iconic locations in Australia (and the world!)

Our mission at Eco Barge Clean Seas is to keep our beautiful seas clean by removing and recycling marine debris in the Whitsundays and preserving marine life at our sea turtle rescue centre. Since I started here, we've collected 1,937kg of marine debris, saved a beautiful sea turtle, hosted 220 incredible volunteers, made jewellery, furniture and pens from marine debris, created an art piece for the Whitsunday Coast Airport, and had many many laughs in between.
